We just arrived back in Terre Haute from a wonderful weekend spent with family and Grace Pointe Wesleyan Church! Philip, Adalynn, and I started our weekend by traveling to Wilmore, Kentucky to visit Philip's sister and her family on Friday and Saturday. It was a great time! We were able to go into the cute town of Wilmore on Saturday night and enjoy the Christmas tree lighting and town Christmas walking tour. We even took the two babies (Adalynn and her 9 week old cousin, Ella) out in the 20 degree weather to enjoy the Christmas festivities! Sunday morning we drove to Clarksville, Indiana to share with a partnering church, Grace Pointe Wesleyan! It was a joy to be able to come to this congregation and share about the work in Russia and our call to missions! This church has been supporting us since this summer! Thank you, Grace Pointe! We also enjoyed being a part of Grace Pointe's dedication service as they spent their first Sunday morning service in their new building! This was also a special service because this was Adalynn's first time coming along for the "Mission Sunday Journey"! All went well until about 10 minutes into the service when she decided to cry and fuss, which meant Philip gave the presentation by himself while Adalynn and I sat in the back room! We decided Adalynn had her first case of stage fright. Hopefully she will be over this by the next church service come January!
We want to thank Grace Pointe Wesleyan congregation for their welcoming hearts this morning! We felt blessed by you this afternoon as we drove home! Thank you for your support and for allowing us to share with you! We also want to thank you for the having us share in the dedication meal following the service! It was wonderful!
Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and Adalynn
