Dessert with a Mission

This past Friday night we had "Dessert with a Mission", a part of Faith Wesleyan's missions conference. This is a night set aside as a more personal time with people from the church, gathering at someone's house for an informal time with the missionaries. We were at the Evans' house, surrounded by about 35 other people from the church. It was a wonderful experience talking with people and sharing a time of openness and prayer with our church family. Sueellen and Randy were wonderful hosts! Sueellen even had a room prepared, in case I went into labor while there for the evening!! We have been truly blessed and encouraged throughout this week's missions conference. We are looking forward to the banquet tonight as well as the wonderful Faith Promise and Life Commitment services tomorrow morning and evening. Thank you for your prayers for this week! We are praying that the Holy Spirit is moving in each person's heart this week as they see the world in light of the Great Commission.

Missions Conference

Faith Wesleyan Church

Yesterday was the kick-off Sunday for our home church's missions conference! John C. from Global Partner's Headquarters came and gave the opening message yesterday morning and evening. We are looking forward to a week of the Lord working through us as we ministry to the people of Faith Wesleyan. We are again asking that you join us in prayer for this coming week. Pray for the Lord to do a great work in the hearts of those at Faith Wesleyan, as well as use us and the other missionaries to encourage and challenge the congregation. We are asking and praying that the Holy Spirit will be among us as we speak and also for people to be challenged in their walk with the Lord. Keep posted to see the fun events that will be unfolding later this week!
