Passports

Last week we decided that Adalynn needed to get her passport. We want to have it so that in July we can start the visa process. Well, of course to get one's passport you need a passport picture and birth certificate. So, Mom Gormong and I took Adalynn to get her picture taken at Walgreens. They had the best price for passport pictures. I didn't think they would appreciate one of my pictures of Adalynn! When we got to Walgreens, I had to hold Adalynn out in front of a white screen. I had to make sure I was holding her to the side with one arm hiding under her shirt so my hand wouldn't end up in the picture. The man taking the picture took a few, so by the end my arm was sooo tired of hold that almost 16lb. baby up in the air!

On to finding Adalynn's birth certificate. I vaguely remember the nurse at the hospital telling me about it, but of course that was along with all the other one trillion things I had to remember, so I stopped trying to remember and asked someone where to find it. I had to go up town to the Vital Statistics office to apply for it. I just knew this was going to take forever, but I went anyway, with a good attitude of course. It actually ended up being one of the easiest things I have done in Vigo county! I even decided to splurge and get 2 copies of the birth certificate! Birth Certificate--DONE.

Tuesday was the day. We went to the Post Office with Adalynn and all the needed paperwork...and money of course. I was sure we were going to have to go back home and get some paper that we forget to bring...that kind of stuff happens to me a lot. When we got there we walked in and surprisingly there was no line. We applied for her passport and that was it. It was so easy...I decided it was the 2nd easiest thing I have ever done in Vigo county.
So, all we do is wait now! My passport (got sent in to have my last name changed to Gormong) and Adalynn's passports should be on their way! We'll let you know when they arrive!

Traveling

We are headed to Mt. Zion Wesleyan tomorrow morning! Mt. Zion is in New Castle, Indiana where we will briefly be sharing about our call and need for supporters. During the service I will be sharing with the children about missions and Russia. We are excited to be introduced to this new congregation. Please pray that doors will open so that down the road this church will partner with us. We are also praying for faith promise givers out of this congregation Sunday morning.

Half Way
