A trip to FLORIDA!

We are headed to Brooksville Wesleyan Church in Brooksville, FL in just a few days! We are actually taking a vacation with Philip's family to Bradenton, FL. Next Wednesday we will drive about and hour and half north to Brooksville. We are looking forward to spending Wednesday evening with one of our supporting churches! We have been blessed to be a part of this church's group of supporting missionaries. This church's congregation is made up of some retired Wesleyan missionaries, a few who know and served on the Zambia field with Philip's family back in the day! We are also excited to be able to spend some time with some of these dear family friends.
Philip and I have been looking forward to this trip for some time! Not only are we excited to be in Brooksville, but we are thrilled for a brief time off to spend with family! Philip's sister and her family (husband and daughter) will be joining us in Florida! Thursday we drive to Wilmore, KY to pick up them up, and then Friday we venture to drive through the night to meet Philip's parents in Florida! Pray for our safety and for a relaxing time before we head off to language school at the beginning of June!

Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and Adalynn

West Virginia

This bridge is the bridge that led us into the state of West Virginia! Philip, Adalynn, and I traveled to Weirton, WV this weekend for a missions convention with Chapel Hill Wesleyan Church. It was a great weekend! We enjoyed the time spent with the pastor and his wife in their home. Friday night we met the congregation by enjoying a variety of different Russian food with them! We had a chance to share with them about ourselves during this time. Saturday morning we met a few people from the congregation for breakfast at a local restaurant. We enjoyed a breakfast buffet, and had some time to share prayer requests. That evening we shared a little more about our call and about Russia. This morning, Sunday, we enjoyed Sunday School with the young adults. Then, Philip shared with the congregation about the need in Russia, and more about our passion for the Russian people. We are still waiting to hear about the Faith Promise commitments, but we did have over 10 people join our prayer partner team. Thank you for your prayers!
Thank you, Chapel Hill Wesleyan, for a wonderful and encouraging weekend!
