8 Minutes...GO!

This past Saturday, Philip and I drove to Tipton, IN for the Central Indiana District Women's Conference. We were asked to come speak to the women about our call to Russia as missionaries. This district's conference is a little different in style and kept us on our toes all morning! We were given about 8 minutes to speak to each table of ladies. There were about 14 tables of 5 women each. Philip and I went around and spoke about ourselves, how we met, our call, and how the women and their churches could partner with us. After 8 minutes of talking a bell rang, and we went to the next table! It was an enjoyable time getting to speak to each group of women! We really enjoyed moving around and being able to connect more one-on-one with people. We pray that the Lord will continue to work on the hearts of the women as they look to see how they can support this ministry!

Tipton, IN brought us about 27 miles shy of Indiana Wesleyan University where Philip and I both went to school. We took this opportunity to go and visit the campus and see the incredible changes!

Travels

Philip and I are traveling to Tipton, IN this Saturday to speak at Indiana Central District's Wesleyan Woman's Conference! We are so excited to be a part of sharing our story with these wonderful giving women of the Wesleyan Church! We had a chance to connect with Martha Blackburn (works for Wesleyan Women) this week at Missionary Training Institute and was encouraged about this coming Saturday. Please be praying for us as we travel to Tipton, IN to Trinity Wesleyan Church. Pray for safety and for the Spirit to be among the gathering on Saturday!

Missionary Training Institute (MTI)

Philip and I are currently in Indianapolis, IN for 3 weeks at our missionary training institute. We are so excited to be here with many other Global Partner missionaries! We just completed our first day of training today. It was a long day with sessions all morning and afternoon, but we definitely came away with some good information. Today we talked about cross-cultural evangelism, personal security, and spiritual warfare. The week is packed with sessions beginning at 8:30am and going until about 4:30pm. We get a break for lunch and few small breaks to get up and stretch! It is a great time to be learning things we will need before we go on the field, but there is a lot of information! We have the next 3 weeks of training like we had today. We are looking forward to learning more about working in teams, conflict resolution, spiritual development, intercultural communications, and so much more!
We have met some great missionaries already! It is so neat to be able to form relationships with people who are going all over the world to share about Jesus!

We appreciate that you are praying for us as we are at our training. We want the Spirit to be at work in our hearts throughout this training. We will keep you updated in the weeks to come! Know that we are praying for YOU!
