This past weekend, I (Philip) made a trip back down south to speak at a missions conference in Mississippi, as well as over to Alabama to speak at another church for night service. Though the hours in the car were long, I was blessed to have had the opportunity to connect with Trinity Wesleyan (MS) and Mosley Bridge (AL), and share with them about our call, passion, and the need in Russia.
Services began Saturday night at Trinity Wesleyan where I shared in a Thanksgiving celebration meal with the congregation and presented our call, goal, mission, and need. The food was excellent and it was a good time of fellowship. I brought the Sunday morning message the following day. The church was loving, gave us an encouraging love offering, and we had a couple more people join our team as prayer partners, as well as at least one verbal commitment to be a Faith Promise giver. We will see what else the Lord brings out of this through working through His people. Pray that there would be more Faith Promise givers from Trinity Wesleyan.
Following a wonderful Sunday lunch with the pastor and his family, I drove about three hours east to Mosley Bridge for their night service. I was blessed to share in a service with a loving congregation and Pastor Michael, who has a passion for the Lord and the world. They received me well as I shared who we were, our call, and need. They too gave an encouraging love offering, and we had several more sign up as prayer partners. Several people took our information as I encouraged them to pray how God might want to use them in this ministry in Russia. This too we submit to the Lord in prayer that there might be some that rise out of Mosley Bridge to be a part of our team as Faith Promise givers. Pray for God to speak to them and for them to be obedient.
Thank you for your prayers throughout this trip as I had to go alone. Kara and Adalynn stayed up north, visiting family in Ohio. God was faithful in protecting and providing and we give Him praise.
And thank you, Trinity Wesleyan and Mosley Bridge. We look forward to what else God might do from this trip as we pray together.
Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and Adalynn
