Holiday in Russia

Today is Defender of the Fatherland Day, or better known as International Men's Day. This holiday is a national holiday, so many people got this day off from work. International Men's Day celebrates people who are serving or were serving in the Russian Armed Forces. Now it is a celebration of men as a whole acting as a counterpart to the national holiday, Woman's Day, which is March 8th.
Well, Adalynn and I celebrated Philip today as the man in our lives! We bought him this cool touristy looking Russian shirt! hahah!!! I knew it was kind of cheesy, but I kind of liked it. It would have been cooler if it had said Russia in actual Russian!

Blessings,
Philip (the man of the day), Kara, Adalynn, and baby Gwen

  2. If Men's Day is actually international, then we need to get the U.S. in on that action! We could combine MLK Jr. Day and President's Day into the newly formed Men's Day. I like it!
