Saturday, Philip, Adalynn, and I drove to Clinton, SC to eat lunch with one of our supporters, Mari Gonlag! It was great to connect with Mari over lunch! Mari actually spent some time on the mission field with Philip and his parents in Zambia years ago! It was fun to hear some old stories as well as be encouraged by a fellow missionary. Mari teaches at Southern Wesleyan University, and found time to meet us half way in Clinton! Thanks, Mari for a great time!
We have 1 week of studying and finals before we head back home to Indiana! I think this has been the first weekend that we have actually wanted to go by quickly so the week would come and we could get these finals going! We have spent the weekend studying as well as packing. We are planning to leave right after our oral final on Friday! Thank you for your prayers these past 8 weeks! The Lord has helped us get through each day. He has brought understanding of the language to our brains and to our mouths.
Update: The church that was deciding on financially supporting us a few weeks ago, had an emergency and will be deciding the 3rd week of August! Don't stop praying for this church to partner with us! We will keep you updated. Thank you for your intentionally prayers for this request. We will be calling a few churches back the week after next concerning financial support. Please pray with us as we have begun discussing our visas and departure plans with our field directors. Again, we must be 100%, so we are continuing to ask for the Lord's wisdom and his provision in raising the rest of this support!
We appreciate you! Thank you for your faithful and constant support of this ministry and the Russian people!
Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and Adalynn
