Watch Out! Here We Come!

Philip and I have so much going on here in the next few weeks! We are so excited to share with you a few new details in our lives! First of all, Philip graduated from Wesley Biblical Seminary a few weekends ago with a Masters of Divinity Degree! We are so thrilled to have Philip done with school, but more importantly, we are excited that he has had the opportunity to learn more about the Lord at this amazing seminary. Now that Philip is done with school, he is picking up some maintenance work at the seminary while he waits for me to finish up with the school year. He has also been busy working on our missions "work". This work consists of connecting with people, churches, and any other avenue we can make to share with people about our call to go to Russia. Philip has been busy writing thank you cards, arranging meetings, and of course taking care of the baby and me! He has enjoyed a little more pleasure reading and definently more sleep! Thank you for your prayers as Philip finished up his last weeks of seminary. The Lord has shown us His faithfulness throughout Philip's time in seminary.

The second great news is we are expecting a baby GIRL in October! We went in for our sonogram earlier this week and were overjoyed to hear that all was well with the baby...and to find out that the baby is a girl! Please continue to pray for us as we prepare to be parents. Our desire is to raise this precious girl to become a Godly woman who seeks the Lord with her whole heart.

Philip and I are in the midst of packing and moving to Indiana in just 2 short weeks! We will be leaving Mississippi to live in Terre Haute, Indiana. We are beginning the transition of full-time support raising!!!! To give you an update of our financial status, we are 10% funded already and only have 90% more to go!! We are encouraged and have begun setting goals to reach each month. We appreciate your prayers and how each of you have been supporting us over these last few months. We pray that the Lord will continue to touch your lives through this ministry. Here are a few things you can keep in your prayers as you lift us up to the Lord:

  • Pray for our field directors, Brian and Cara, as they prepare to leave home ministries here in the States and head back to Vladimir. They have hopes to leave here by June if all their support is raised. Please pray that they will be encouraged, and that they will be reminded constantly during this last leg of support raising that our God is faithful.
  • Pray for Kerry (GP Missionary) and a woman named Nastya who are currently in Vladimir. In April they invited a few elderly women to their house for tea and ended up showing the Jesus Film. Kerry and Nastya are praying for more opportunites to expand this ministry.
  • Pray for the graduates of the Bible College in Vladimir as they get ready to graduate later this month. Pray for guidance and direction for their lives as they step into ministry.
  • Continue to pray for the youth and young adult ministries in Vladimir. We have not had a recent update on how the new transitions in the ministries are going, but we ask that you continue to pray for the leadership and for the hearts of the young people.
  • Pray for Philip and I as we transition into a new life in Terre Haute, Indiana. Pray for the strength and boldness as we go out to churches and meet with people about Russia. Pray for the Lord to work on the hearts of people to also be burdened for the people of Russia.
  • Pray for our little baby girl to continue to grow and be a blessing as we travel around raising support.
Again, we are so thankful for you, our supporters. We thank the Lord for you each day and for your commitment to help in sending us into the world for the sake of the Gospel.
Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and baby Adalynn
