Philip and I are so excited to be speaking at our home church here in Mississippi this Saturday and Sunday! DaySpring Community Church has been our home church since we moved to the Jackson area 3 years ago. We have been involved in small groups and other various things with the church over the past couple of years. We are so excited to share with this loving church family about our call and passion for the people of Russia. We will be speaking at the Saturday night service at 6:02pm as well as briefly during the two morning services on Sunday, April 25th. Please be in prayer for us as we share our vision to go to Russia. Pray for open hearts of the people of DaySpring as well as for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to be with us as we share.

In the coming weeks we will be speaking at a few other churches here in the Jackson area. Philip is about a week away from graduation! He is excited and greatly anticipating this next step in life! We are in the process of packing to move to Terre Haute, Indiana to live with Philip's parents while we full-time support raise. The littlest Gormong is well! We are in our 14th week of pregnancy and looking forward to finding out if we are having a boy or girl in a couple of weeks! Please continue to pray for us as we make all these different transitions in the next month!

Blessings, Philip, Kara, and Mini Gormong

  1. I'll be praying for wisdom as you share with your church. The Holy Spirit has also been moving me to pray for the youth in Russia as you've previously asked; that they would be attracted to the Truth preached in Thursday night Bible study instead of being attracted to more "worldly" youth catching activites. I'm wondering if you've heard anything different about that?

  2. Melinda,
We have not heard anymore about the youth in the last update from the current missionary on the field there in Vladimir. We are sooo grateful for your prayers and faithfulness to this ministry. You have encouraged us greatly in just this comment telling us you are praying and burdened for people in Russia! We will keep you updated! We love you! Philip and Kara
