PRAYERS

We are headed to language school this June! We are sooo very excited to be able to attend the Russian Language Institute of the Strategic Langauge and Culture Institute. We will be in Columbia, South Carolina for an 8 week intensive. Though we are excited and encouraged that we are able to go, we do have some concerns. Will you join with us this week in praying for these requests? Time is flying, and things need to get in order for us to live, learn, and grow while we are in South Carolina. Thank you for joining with us in prayer. We know the Lord hears our prayers.

PRAY for:
  • Someone to watch/stay with Adalynn as we are in school from 8-1pm M-F
  • A place to live while we are in Columbia
  • Us to be 75% funded before we leave for Language school at the beginning of June
Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and Adalynn

Good-Byes

We left MS last Thursday. We had a wonderful time with friends and supporters! We were able to squeeze in some time with our small group on Wednesday evening! It was so great to connect with them and spend time catching up and sharing with them more about our ministry. What encouragement it brings us to be able to share with our "old" small group about the joys and concerns of support raising. They were with us from the beginning of our time as missionaries. We miss them!

We are back in Terre Haute as of right now. We enjoyed a joyous and relaxing Easter Sunday with Philip's parents. Faith Wesleyan, our home church here in Terre Haute, had a wonderful and touching Easter musical on Sunday morning! We hope you had a special time remembering the death and resurrection of our Lord. Thanks for your continual support!

Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and Adalynn
Rejoice with us as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! He has risen from the dead, giving new life to us!!! Praise the Lord for his mercy, grace, sacrifice, and love.

Happy Resurrection Sunday!
Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and Adalynn

Visiting

Yep, you're right! We are outside taking a walk with no coats, enjoying the 70 degree weather! We are still in Mississippi visiting with friends and supporters. Adalynn is doing a great job going with the flow and letting people hold her. Yesterday we made it over to the seminary to see Philip's professors and people in Student Development. It was great to see these people again!
Last night we enjoyed dinner with our friends the Edgar family! They were our small group leaders for a time when we lived in Mississippi. They have 3 beautiful children! We enjoyed fellowshipping with them over dinner. We appreciate how they pray and support us financially as we prepare to go to Russia.
Here are a few pictures of yesterday's adventures!

Fun Times in Mississippi

(This is a picture of our friends' kids and Adalynn! They were all born close together! The last time we were all together, the babies weren't even with us!)

We are having a great time in Mississippi with our friends and supporters! Sunday we were able to go to our former church, DaySpring. It was great to be encouraged by many of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. We did not get to go to our small group because of some of the kids being sick. We hope to connect with them on Wednesday night. Sunday night we went to a fish fry at Wesley Chapel. They were celebrating their 2 year anniversary. It was a great time to see more of our friends, such as the Burnetts and President Smith and his wife Dorena!

Burnetts and Jack and Adalynn...does Adalynn look tired to you?

Adalynn let Dorena hold her all night! It was great!

On the Road

We are on the road! Well, we have arrived safely in Mississippi! Adalynn had a great trip! We are looking forward to our busy week!
We recently emailed our prayer partners, asking them to pray about partnering with us financially. Will you join us in prayer for these people? Pray that their hearts would be moved to join our ministry through financial giving. We are targeted to be on the field by September. We need to be fully supported by this summer. Thank you for your prayers and faithfulness to our team!

Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and Adalynn

M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

(Picture from graduation a year ago!)
We are heading back down to Mississippi tomorrow morning--bright and early! We are really excited to be taking this trip to see our seminary friends as well as a few of our faithful supporters! We will be visiting with 6 of our supporters while in the Jackson area. We are also going to take some time to visit the school I taught at for 3 years. I am excited to see my "old" students as well as the wonderful staff at Park Place! Please be praying for us as we travel Friday morning. This trip will be Adalynn's first 9 hour drive! YIKES! We'll keep you updated on how things go! Thanks for your support, prayers, and encouragement!

Blessings,
Philip, Kara, and Adalynn
